I passed the motorcycle course!!!! I didn't think I could pass but I did. I'm glad it was finally over. Going to the classes really drained me out. Especially yesterday, it was burning hot! I got sunburn on my face. Last week was raining and got me sick. I'm still sick right now.
Well anyway, I just need to go to d.m.v next and take the written test and I'll get my license! ^^

Good luck with jobhunting, Cat!!

Did the driver just tried to piss you off or something? That's really annoying. You won't find me driving on the left lane, because I'm a slow driver XD I don't think I even have the guts to pass people ^^;; I'm such a coward on the road. And I hate the freeway. Let's see if that will change once I get a motorcycle.

Speaking of motorcycle, the same xer0x guy told me that one of his friends is selling a k4wasaki n1nja EX500. It's pretty old (1990), but I think it'll be good as my first motorcycle. I'll be going really slow anyway XD Let's hope I'll graduate the safety course first ><;;

I think my house might have mice.. O_o;; I found little black things that look like poop on my microwave and in my closet. And I'm hearing noises from the upper shelf of my closet. Gross!! ><;; I want to clean up my house but I never have time. I've been putting a lot of hours at work and always come home exhausted. I'm gonna have to at least vacuum the carpet and wash my dogs before my bf comes back from vegas though. Just because he said "I bet the dogs still won't be washed by the time I get back, right?" Hmph. We'll see about that! XD

Today was my first riding class. It was pretty fun and difficult at the same time. It took me a while to get used to the bike, considering I'm also a beginner car driver. Motorcycle's even more difficult because it's more like manual transmission car. 4 hours of riding really drained my energy. It was even worse after that because I have to walk to the train station to get home, and I got lost! @_@;;; Here's the story... I went to the riding range by taxi because the train doesn't run that early (it was 6 am on sunday). Which is all good and I got there on time. And then, after the class was over, I was walking along the path where I came from to the train station and it turns out that the street doesn't have pedestrian path because it's right next to the freeway! So I had to find another way to get to the train station. So I walked and walked and walked and got into some residential area where I got really lost. I almost given up and intended to call one of my friends for directions since he lives nearby. But after a while, I finally recognize one of the streets and found the station. So I got home and dropped dead on the bed XD
I gotta figure out a better way of getting to the station next week...

Did you finish your paper, Cat?
And Minmei.. I know you're gone, but.. Have a safe trip!!!!

It's almost time for minmei to go T_T Hurry up and do your taxes already!! XD I did mine at 3 am this morning. For some reason, I just woke up at 2 am, took a shower, and started doing my taxes. Be careful with S@RS!!! That's really scary, to stay at a S@RS infested hotel. But it's been a while, so it should be okay now.

Cat and I are gonna be lonely though T_T I wish you could have internet access there. But then again, it'd probably be hard to type on a chinese keyboard XD
My bf's also going to vegas for business for a week and a half. I told him it's probably good to be away from each other for a little while so we'll miss each other more later. And he pouted and said "you hate me" ^^;; I couldn't even tell if he's joking or not. Boys are stupid XDD

As for motorcycle license, there are 3 different licenses. M1, M2 and I forgot the third one. M1 is the generic one, you can operate any motorized 2-wheel vehicle with this. M2 is only for mopeds and motorized bicycles. I think the third one is for ATVs or something. Motorcycle license is totally separate from driver license though :( I wish I could just use 1 license for everything.

My first motorcycle class is tomorrow! :D It's a classroom session though. I want the riding experience! XD I even got a helmet ready. The xer0x technician who usually comes to fix our machines is a biker and he lent one of his helmets to me. He's the coolest xer0x technician ever! XD It's kinda funny because he doen't look like a biker at all. He's a middle aged, bald on top, and kinda skinny. You'd never imagine this guy doing cross country on a huge sportsbike O_o;; But I still think he's cool XD

Hum.. I think you should mention it. I mean, the customer can just check her credit card/bank account and see if it's been deducted $20 for the payment. But then again, she can just lie to you and say she paid... But I do think you should mention it.

Cat, if your allergies get really bad, maybe you should at least try out the medicines. The side effects are a possibility, but you may not even have them. I don't think I've experienced any side effects from medications I took. Maybe I'm just strong against side effects :p

I did get my new string, and have put it in place. I also tried to tune it as close as I can. But I can't tell if it's out of tune or not because I don't have a teacher ^^;;

Btw, I signed up for motorcycle class! I've been wanting to learn to ride a motorcycle for a long time and I'm finally doing it! The first classroom session will be this wednesday. And the riding session is this sunday at 7.30 in the morning -_-; I haven't told my bf though. He's against it :\ I know motorcycles are dangerous, but I'm not reckless like he is. I think he's more in danger in his car than I will be on my motorcycle. In any case, I'm excited! :D

If minmei's acne med doesn't work, try neutrogena rapid clear acne eliminating gel. I don't usually get pimples, but one time I got 4 at once! ><;; And it did a good job clearing them up without drying my skin.
My bf gets bad allergies too. But he's too stubborn to get medication. I usually keep some allergy medicine on hand in case his allergy gets really bad and gives him fever. I'm still looking for allergy medicine that actually works though. I tried clar1tin on him and it didn't work. Same thing with b3nadryl. What medication do you use, Cat?

Minmei, bringing a lot of toiletries means you take care of yourself. And that's a good thing. Although, if you're bringing soap, why do you need a body wash also? And sunscreen is important!

Ooh.. it's warm and sunny today.. It was really cold and wet just yesterday. I hope it'll stay like this for a long time.

Okay.. Apparently, I do have fine tuners. I didn't know what they looked like until you pointed them out on your pictures. How do I use them though?

Thank you for the instruction manual!! That's just what I need. I've actually been looking everywhere for a website that has those information. Thank you thank you thank you!! I feel bad though, coz now you're neglecting your homework ^^;;; I don't understand why even the "beginner" books don't even show this much detail and instruction on how to actually play the viola. All they have are a couple photos of a person holding the viola and then it's all music sheets of mary had a little lamb and twinkle twinkle little star. Well anyway, I'll wait until I get my new strings and then I'll start practicing.

And Cat.. you better go do your homework now.... XD

Argh.. Being a total beginner is hard. I bought the wrong string!! It was the G string that broke! not the C string ;_; I am dumb..
ari 10:47 PM

I bought a new string.. It was the C string that broke (after I did the research to find out which string actually broke XD;;). It'll cost me $20 just to tune it though.. That's kinda expensive, so I should learn to do it myself. I mean.. If I take it to the store for tuning twice, that's already the cost of the actual viola!
Now, so far, I've been practicing the hold and made some noises with the bow XD That's all I know how to do. The lion hold is hard to do and it hurts my chin!

As for tuning, I don't have fine tuners. I think I'm just gonna try to get as close as possible. I can't ask for much since I'm trying to teach myself here.. which is not working XDDD I downloaded a keyboard to help with the tuning. This is hard to do *_*;;

I think I'm gonna take a class at the local mall where I got the new string from. They only have violin teacher though, but I'm gonna ask them if she can teach viola also, since those two instruments are so similar. I'm a bit embarassed because I'm sure the other students are little kids and I'd be the only clueless adult there. I mean, I can't even read notes!! ^^;;;

Btw, I'm supposed to rub the bow hair with rosin, right? Is there a 'correct' way to do it? Or do you just rub it in any directions? And assuming all the strings are tuned, how to you play the notes? None of the books I bought illustrate the actual playing of the instrument. Maybe I should look for lessons on dvd..

I am a moron... I finally got my viola and already I broke a string -_-;;;; I just wanted to tighten it a bit and it broke ;_; I haven't even tried it yet!! Now I'll have to take it to a music store and have it fixed, and if they can, I want them to tune it for me too. How am I gonna learn to play this thing???
